Three New Videos

It is about time I got some new videos up onto YouTube.
Frankly I was hoping to get at least one more done today, but my voice was not cooperating as well as I would have liked.

The first request I worked on was a request from RJ. My man, my fiancé, and therefore, a priority!!
He suggested the new hit from Leaving Thomas -"Blame it on the Neon". I love this song. I cannot explain how much I love this song. It's a mix of old country and some voice-flipping techniques that takes practice, it's all feminine and cute and yet growly and grungy. It is the perfect mix. So I learned it and did a piano cover of it. I would love to sing it with a band behind me though.

The second request was one that has been on my list for years. As much as I hate to admit it, this has been requested by at least 5 people in the past few years and I always used to either forget about it or put it on the back-burner. Well today it became a priority, and I am so glad I was able to do it. It's a traditional Irish melody - "O Danny Boy". What a gorgeous tune. I had to dig deep into my repertoire and genres for this one. I am so happy that I did. What a classic and stunningly beautiful melody.

The third song is one that I was a little hesitant to do. Leave it to my friend Jenni to request a song by the Biebs. This is the first song that I have ever done from Justin Bieber. I did make a pact that I would try and do a cover of each and every song requested, and for Jenni I had to record it and put it up. So here is "Cold Water" by Justin Bieber. As much as I joke around, I think the slow acoustic version went pretty well. It also always helps me to expand my repertoire.

Thank you so much for all of your requests. Don't worry, I still have a list of songs to do, and I will get to them. It just takes a while. I am thrilled to have gotten three finished today.
My voice and my joints are all shot now. Time for some rest and maybe listening to those new requests.
😉

Thanks for joining in and following me and My Musical Life!
