It has been a long time since I wrote any new music.
My latest written songs are Two Minutes and Ready to Say I Do, and those are both several years old now. Before that were the French tunes Unfinished Tattoo and Triste at Best.
So it's been a while.
A long while.
One thing, though, about being an artist is that just because there isn't a finished product out there and available yet doesn't mean that I am not creating.
I am actually working on several tiny little projects right now, slowly... including a whole heap of writing. I just haven't found that right piece or that right combination of words that screams for me to put it to music.
It could be there - waiting to be discovered - sitting in a notebook surrounded by 20 other poetry pieces.
It could be on a scrap piece of paper: one line that encourages me to build a song around a singular thematic sentence.
It's there.
Don't worry, it's there.
For now, until I find it, I am focusing on learning cover songs, preparing for recording harmonies, and practicing for the Live-Streaming concert coming up in December.
Even if my song-writing has been a little stagnant, that doesn't mean that my creativity is wavering. It is actually exploding right now!
And I absolute love every minute of
My Musical Life!
