Whether I am cooking, baking, reading (sometimes), painting, or even meditation, my choice of background music is crucial to the experience.
It is not very often for our house to be just silent. Silence usually means that one of us is asleep, the dogs are getting into trouble, or I am home alone and reading.
Otherwise, something is always on.
It can be the television with a show I love (or a movie with a great soundtrack), it can be me playing piano and practicing, or it can be music, and the music is very dependent on the activity.
Tonight I did a little bit of painting. I have been getting into a bit of a groove - finding how I best like to paint - so I have been trying to get downstairs once a week to paint a little bit.
My background music of choice tonight:
Classical.
♡ Berceuse Heroique by Claude Debussy
♡ Ballet Suite No.2, Op.84b, performed by the Moscow Symphony Orchestra
♡ Atmosphères for Large Orchestra, performed by the SWR Symphony Orchestra
♡ Air on a G String by Bach
♡ Albinoni's Adagio performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra
♡ Adagio for Strings, Op.11a performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra
This music was a perfect accompaniment to paint and brush strokes and just allowing myself to fall into an artistic trance.
Actually attending the symphony is on my 'to do' list over the next couple of years.
I will absolutely be one of those women so moved by the music that I will end up in tears.
Yep.
That'll be me.
I will also likely angrily shush anyone if they are speaking too loudly, speaking on the phone, or simply allowing their phone to ring.
I'm that person...
Those were my musical choices for tonight... and I loved every minute of it.
I love My Musical Life!
