New Youtube Vids, New Stream, New Music, and Bananagrams!

 Things have been BUSY musically!!

I'm really enjoying these new ventures. I am also getting overwhelmed by them, but we're working on it.

First things first:

I am streaming live via Twitch, regularly. I am still what you might call a 'Twitchling', in that I am still trying to find my footing using this streaming service. I am loving all of the new elements that I am learning, plus it is also lighting a fire under my butt to start creating a bit more. Watching all sorts of amazing musicians has me wanting to expand my repertoire significantly. To do that, I need to figure out some drum loops!! I am already in the process of creating my own drum loops (since I cannot currently afford a drum machine at the moment, and wouldn't have an extra input to plug it into anyways). I am also looking at saving some money to purchase and practice with a vocal loop and harmonizer pedal. For now, though, I am still experiencing some technical difficulties and just trying to get the hang of things.

My second segment on Twitch, my A Cappella Kitchen, is much more straightforward. I simply go live directly from my smartphone - no microphone, no keyboard, no finnicky audiobox - just me in my kitchen, baking or cooking, and singing some a cappella tunes. This particular stream has been super fun. It's something that I do anyways - just not usually broadcasting it. So it doesn't feel like this massive undertaking that takes more of my energy than simply cooking or baking a dish. Bonus!

Tonight I also decided to stream music from FireTitan while I played a solo word game - Bananagrams!!

Secondly:

I did a new stream this afternoon that included several French tunes, several of my originals, and a few songs that are super chill. It also included my newest song "Years", which will be uploaded to Youtube in March.

Thirdly:

I uploaded four videos onto my youtube channel this week. Two of these videos are from my University days, Laudamus Te and Liebestreu, when I was working through my combined degree in Music and Psychology. They are from my junior grad recital. A third video is a cover of "Drift Away" by Uncle Kracker and the fourth video is from grade 10 (which seems like absolutely forever ago) when I got to sing Home Fires in the musical Oh What A Lovely War.

I love my busy, overwhelming, and challenging Musical Life!
