And a brand new original called Years.
There has been a bit of a musical pause over the past week. It is absolutely unintentional, but it is the reality of it nonetheless.
I was getting into a really good groove with streaming, writing, learning, and practicing. I have been really enjoying the entire streaming community and have found more purpose in my musical life.
I recently ordered a midi cable to help with some music production, along with some softbox lighting to improve the lighting on my streams, and I even signed up for a couple of competitions!!!
Then, the medical side of my life decided to butt in. For more details on that side of things, visit my medical blog.
So the package with my midi cable and the box containing my lights remain unopened in my dining room, my latest Sunday music stream was just playing my youtube videos in the background while I played a word game, my competition recordings will have to wait, and all of my energy has been dwindled.
With that said - like all flare-ups - this is temporary. Who knows how long it will last, but it will settle down again. Fingers crossed that it will be settled before I have to have my competition videos submitted. At least I can practice lyrics, listen to the songs, and do some research while I rest. I just hope the distraction from this latest bout doesn't erase the information I am attempting to absorb.
Always remember - we can have plans and goals and work towards them, but we cannot control the circumstances around us. The best practice is learning how to pivot and adapt so that we can work towards our goals even when situations don't quite go according to plan.
