At the end of October I was overjoyed to perform for a wedding. Friends of ours were finally getting married after three Covid-induced postponements. The groom chose all of the ceremony music - which included various genres and required a little bit of lyric tweaking on my part.
Perfect by Ed Sheeran got a makeover by removing the mentioning of having children in the second verse, as did The Irish Wedding Song. Then I had to get a little creative with Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen (as little as I possibly could) to make it more wedding-appropriate.
Overall I got to sing and play 12 songs, and loved every second of it.
Then on November 4th I was asked to perform for the annual Crohn's Colitis Canada Fun Money Casino Night (geez, that's a mouthful!). Such a fun night - great food, great auction items, and virtually limitless fake money to play the tables!
This month's YouTube videos include a cover of Autumn Leaves by Nat King Cole and an A Cappella version of Amazing Grace sung in the Drottens church ruins in Visby, Sweden. Such an incredible experience.
Lots of little projects always on the go, as usual, and a live-streaming Christmas concert will happen sometime in December.
Above all, I love My Musical Life!
