Instrumental Medley

Today I got to meet with a bride to discuss the music for her wedding coming up in only a couple of weeks!

I am always super nervous - even when I am confident. It is such a weird feeling. As I was playing little bits and pieces of each song I wanted to show her, I would blank on my finger positions or speed up to the point where I could barely play a song.
It is amazing how nervous I can seem even though I have performed for over 30 weddings. I am absolutely confident in my ability to perform, my skill, my preparedness, and my ability to both play and sing for any wedding.
Yet I can get shaky and nervous.

After the meeting, I put everything in the proper order and practiced everything a few more times today before setting it aside.

While I was preparing for this meeting, I happened to record a few snippets from several instrumental tunes that are very often used for weddings.

I am SO excited to learn some more tunes and to perform for her wedding. I LOVE weddings and it is always an honour to provide the music for a couple's special day. Playing piano and singing is something that I do at home on a daily basis, and it always helps to have something to work towards; a deadline. So every single day until their big day I will be playing and practicing each of the songs that we selected.
