Experimenting with Art

When it comes to music, that kind of artistry has been in my blood. I gravitate towards music, and I have from a very young age. It's not really all that surprising that I have experimented with several instruments (though always moving towards the piano), but my true musical love has always been singing.
Vocal work.
But anything to do with music and I am captivated.

Along with music, I have always loved dance and theatre - essentially the performing arts - but as far as real artistry goes, I have always been lacking in that area. I have never been able to draw very well, I used to hate finger painting as a kid, and I have never really wanted to do any painting. I have wanted to learn some basics about drawing, however. Nothing fancy, I have just always hoped to learn proper depth perception when I am drawing. Further to that, I have always wanted to be able to draw flowers. Flowers and leaves; botanical art.
After following several artists online, I have realized that my favourite type of botanical art is little tiny flowers painted with watercolors. I would love to have an entire wall filled with these framed watercolor flowers (and pressed flowers come to mention it).

Since I have been exploring other artistic ventures (like learning lettering and calligraphy), I thought - I could learn how to doodle little flowers and I think I could learn how to paint little watercolour flowers.
So today I am attempting my first doodle-watercolor project.

And, while I wait for the paint to dry, I am also playing piano. It's like my very own Artist's Corner - sitting at the table doodling and painting, then playing my piano each time I need to let the paint dry.

I am loving it!!
I love My Musical and Artistic Life!!
