Hallowe'en Classics

For every Hallowe'en party there has to be some background music or movies playing.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a favourite movie. I personally consider it more of a Christmas movie (I watch it every year on Christmas Eve), but another excuse to watch it and celebrate the film is welcome.
Add in some Hocus Pocus, Corpse Bride, pretty much anything Tim Burton, and we have several family friendly options.

But what about music?
What about when the kiddos go home or fall asleep?

For the first part, Thriller and Monster Mash will be on the list. Soundtracks from some of my favourite horror films or thrillers will likely make an appearance. Anything haunting.
Then come the scary movies.
A week of horror films every single night -
The Possession, Halloween series, Silence of the Lambs, movies about psychopathic killers and demonic possessions. Brutal murders and disturbing stories. Stephen King, M. Night Shyamalan, or maybe even the demon barber of London.
So many options.

For a thriller film lover, Halloween means movie marathons. We will watch movies we love and have seen multiple times, but we'll also look into new thrillers that have been released within the past year and watch new ones.
(I hope IT 2 will be released On Demand before our party).

The real hunt, though, will be for music. I remember when I was a kid, we had a cassette tape we played every Halloween while we played games and handed out candy. It had footsteps and creaking doors, voices, and some music. I wonder if I can find out what mix it was.
There is one soundtrack that has haunting piano music that I have had in my mind ever since I watched the movie A Cure For Wellness. I don't know why the music spoke to me so much, but it does. That will be included in my playlist.

I know that I *could* just log into Google Play and find a Halloween music station, but I would MUCH better prefer tailoring a playlist to our tastes... I am just not sure where to start.

Any suggestions?
What are your favourite songs to play on Halloween night? Is there a soundtrack that is particularly scary or haunting?
Send me any ideas you may have!

I love My Musical Life!
