Slow Summer

It has been a slow summer for music.
With so many interests, I have put off practicing the Ukulele until the Fall, I didn't do any busking (I would love to try one day) and I haven't performed in any fundraisers recently.

That doesn't mean music has taken a back seat in our home though.
I have been diligently practicing grade 7/8 Conservatory pieces, practicing scales, practicing memorized pieces (Theme from Up, Theme from Game of Thrones, Theme from A Cure For Wellness, Music Box Dancer, Theme from Jaws), and trying to learn some new pieces like the Theme from Harry Potter.

This summer has been slow for music but busy everywhere else. We haven't even managed to get out camping this year... and I haven't been feeling great, so it's been a mixed bag. We also have so much to do at the house that things just got away from us.
With that said, it is almost Fall here, so more practicing the Ukulele and more time for tea and music.

As long as I am practicing something musical on a daily basis, that is alright with me. As much as I wish I could do so much more, my health and lifestyle will only allow for so much. I am happy with what I can do. My conservatory pieces are getting much better now too! I have two grade 8 pieces almost up to tempo. =D

I love My Musical Life!
