Our Lady Peace

Our Lady Peace was one of the most influential bands when I was growing up. Their music always has so much depth to it. They are one of the many reasons why I began writing music in the first place - so every time there is an opportunity to see them live, I am first in line.
Here's the problem, though: the tickets have always been so ridiculously expensive that I simply cannot justify it.

There are various performances, concerts, bands, symphonies, operas, ballets, plays, etc... that I have been thrillingly excited to buy tickets to see, but much of it comes down to the price. I always have a basic price in mind of what I am willing to spend on certain concerts, and if it is near to that price, I'm in. So often, though, it is not.

I have been able to see George Canyon in concert, we got tickets to Def Leppard (though I was horribly sick on the day and couldn't go), we went to the World of Dance tour performance. We were able to see The Nutcracker a couple years ago, I bought us Stage West tickets one year for both of our birthdays, and I have been able to see Paul Brandt, Carrie Underwood, Jann Arden, Hedley, Kenny Chesney, Doc Walker, and Keith Urban over the years. Some of these go back nearly 25 years. I have been incredibly fortunate. Sometimes they have been tickets that friends have received through work or radio station giveaways, some have been from friends who work in the industry, and getting to see Doc Walker was from a random conversation on Twitter.
I have been lucky in not having to purchase tickets very often, but being able to be a part of these iconic musical evenings.

Now I am happy - no, ecstatic - to say that I may actually get to see Our Lady Peace in concert coming up. As long as I am feeling alright that day and nothing unexpected occurs, like a concert cancellation or the like, I will actually get to see them live.

Thief happens to be one of my most treasured and influential songs - and I finally covered it two years ago.
Here is my cover of Thief by Our Lady Peace, in appreciation of their music, their influence, and my excitement to see them live.
